Violet Lepidolite Mineral Specimen
Our Violet Lepidolite Mineral Specimen sits perfectly to show off the layers that transition to a smaller section of green mica. Lots of character, shine and the color is outstanding. Violet Lepidolite Mineral Specimen is one any mineral collector would love to own.
Lepidolite is an uncommon mica and has only in the past decade become available on the mineral market. It is an ore of lithium and forms in granitic masses that contain a substantial amount of lithium. Violet to pink color is typical. Lepidolite, like other micas, has a layered structure of lithium aluminum silicate sheets naturally bonded together by layers of potassium ions. Lepidolite's four prism faces and two pinacoid faces form crystal "books".
