King Solomans Malachite Bracelet

$459.00 USD

Deep green banded Malachite is paired with sparkling faceted White Topaz and faceted Blue Apatite in this Heirloom quality bracelet. Sterling links and toggle closure. Hand crafted. This is rare example of malachite with chatoyancy, seldom seen in malachite . Fits 6"-7 1/4" wrist. EXCLUSIVE.

The stone's name is from the Greek word for "mallow", a green herb. Malachite was used as a mineral pigment in green paints from antiquity until about 1800. Malachite often results from weathering of copper ores and is often found together with azurite, goethite, and calcite. Malachite is similar to azurite and the two minerals occur together frequently. Malachite has been mined at Timna Valley, the legendary, historic King Solomon's Mines.
