Two owls, carved as one — a quietly powerful pair rendered in vivid blue flash labradorite. This small sculpture is a genuine work of art: every contour hand-shaped by the artist, every feather detail coaxed from the stone by hand. At just 2" × 2½" × 1" deep, it rewards close attention.

The Stone

Labradorite is a stone of transformation and hidden depth — appearing dark and understated until light catches its surface and ignites an electric flash of blue, teal, and gold. This phenomenon, called labradorescence, is caused by light refracting between microscopic layers within the stone. No two pieces flash the same way. This carving was selected for its exceptional blue flash, which animates the owls with an almost luminous quality.

The Owl

Across cultures and centuries, owls have symbolized wisdom, keen perception, and the ability to see what others cannot. A pair of owls carries additional meaning — companionship, loyalty, and a shared watchfulness. In many traditions, they are guardians of sacred knowledge.
