Hanyewi Fluorite Buffalo Carving

A beautiful hand carved buffalo made from natural Fluorite. Deep purples, white veins, apple green patches and small iridescent's all over this stone.

Fluorite derives from Latin, meaning a stream or flow of water. It comes in a wide range of colors and has been dubbed "The most colorful mineral in the world". The most common colors are: purple, blue, green yellow and colorless. Rare colors are: pink, red, white, brown and black.

The Buffalo signifies endurance to overcome and is an emotional courage provider to all. In the Lakota language Tatanka is translated to Buffalo or Buffalo Bull. However to Native Lakota speakers the literal translation is something more like "He who owns us". Hanyewi means Moon.
