A petite amethyst cluster with a cool, crystalline presence — tightly formed points in deep violet that catch light like ice. Compact enough for a desk or shelf, and the right size for wire wrapping or incorporating into handcrafted jewelry.

This piece has a pale-to-mid purple tone with a naturally frosted quality to its crystal surface, giving it the icy character that makes it stand apart from warmer-toned clusters.

Amethyst is a translucent purple variety of quartz and the birthstone of February. The ancient Greeks believed it prevented intoxication — the name comes from the Greek amethystos, meaning "not drunk." When engraved with the circle of the sun or moon, it was thought to protect against poison.
