The stone has been mined for over 4,000 years and was believed to protect against the "evil eye." Obsidian, volcanic glass formed from rapidly cooled lava, was used by ancient civilizations for tools, weapons, and mirrors—the Aztecs crafted obsidian into ceremonial blades and believed it could reveal truth. Labradorite, discovered in Labrador, Canada in 1770, captivates with its signature "labradorescence"—a mystical play of blue, green, and gold light. Chalcedony was prized by ancient Romans for seal rings, while gold quartz combines the earth's two most treasured materials. I was overjoyed when my pendant came in the mail! It is even more beautiful in person than it was in the photo online! I purchased a ring, as well, to wear with the necklace and I have not taken it off my finger yet! Brenda was so helpful and my order came much faster than I anticipated!
