About Blue Calcite
Calcite is one of the most abundant minerals on Earth and the primary component of cave formations like stalactites and stalagmites. Blue calcite gets its color from light scattering within its crystalline structure — similar to the way the sky appears blue. It forms in sedimentary environments.
