Ancient sequoia trees fell and were covered in ash or mud allowing minerals to soak through the wood. Instead of rotting the tree transforms into petrified wood! Sequoia Petrified Wood slice in caramel brown, charcoal gray, umber and creams. 
We only buy from a well respected artist, who cuts and polishes the pieces to a mirror finish.
