The name chrysocolla comes from the Greek chrysos, "gold", and kolla, "glue", in allusion to the name of the material used to solder gold, and was first used by Theophrastus in 315 BCE. Because of its light blue color, it is sometimes confused with turquoise.
According to traditional beliefs, chrysocolla alleviates fear, guilt and nervous tension.
The Buffalo signifies endurance to overcome and is an emotional courage provider to all. In the Lakota language Tatanka is translated to Buffalo or Buffalo Bull. However to Native Lakota speakers the literal translation is something more like "He who owns us". Hanyewi means Moon.
